There is a controversial understanding in the church today. Is the revival in the pew or the pulpit? Some quote 2 Chro 7:14, ‘If My people, who are called by My. Name, will humble themselves and pray, saying it’s the pew. While others quote Joel 2:17, ‘Weep between the porch and the altar’, emphasizing the need for revival among the preachers. Where is the balance found wanting? You can leave your opinions in the comment section.
Is it the preacher or the congregation, that can become the instruments of revival? In my opinion, it is neither the preacher nor the congregation, but an individual who is committed to the Lord.
Revival! God’s way!
God’s way of revival is found in the Bible. He has always chosen a man, shaped him, made him, equipped him, and empowered him to change the destiny of a nation or history. God works through individuals who respond to His call.
God made Adam to start a lineage and fill the earth. God picked Abraham to reveal faith and raise the nation of Israel. God chose Moses to deliver the Israelites from Egypt. God chose Joshua to lead the nation into the land of promise. God chose David to reveal His kingdom. He chose Solomon to build the temple. He used many prophets of God to voice His heart out. In the New Testament, Jesus became the second and the last Adam to bring mankind back to God. Peter, Paul, and John to name a few.
It was always an individual surrendered to God, filled with the Spirit of God. Will you be the one that God is looking for, to ignite a revival spark in this generation?
