Week 18 – Frustrated?

The feeling or expressing distress and annoyance resulting from an inability to change or achieve something is frustration. The deepest unction that anyone can find satisfaction is the feeling that things are under their control. It is a feel-good psychological drug. When your contribution to change a particular situation or environment is of no effect, we feelfrustrated.

As a Christian how I am supposed to battle this issue when things go out of control in my life?

‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7’

I find three important things from this Scripture to connect with when we are in frustration: 1. To TRUST God through our prayers and supplication to Him. 2. To guard our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. 3. To let the peace of God prevail.

Practically put, let Jesus be in control by your choice and believe that He is in control by His virtue and He will control because of His finished work on the cross. Hand over those fears that tormented you in losing control and relish faith in believing that God is in control and not anybody or anything. In placing Christ at the center of all activities of my life, by choice, by faith, and by desire, I have found peace guard my heart and mind through Jesus Christ.
