Do not remove the ancient landmark.
Which your fathers have set. Pro 22:28
We need healthy boundaries in life. God set up boundaries in the Garden of Eden for Adam and Eve. Having a boundary is not ungodly; it is rather beneficial. God put boundaries even in nature. Boundaries to the seas. Boundaries to the waters beneath and above. Boundaries to the elements of nature and natural resources. Imagining these resources without boundaries is a chaotic world. It would destroy everything.
To stay healthy and remain healthy, one needs to work on boundaries. They come in all shapes and sizes. There are boundaries in relationships, in businesses, in endeavours, and in almost every sphere that we are in touch with. If we don’t realize these boundaries and harness them constructively, we are opening our lives to destruction.
This one word has changed my life more than any other word so far. God set boundaries in the Bible. God has boundaries for Himself. ‘He alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen (1 Tim 6:16). He told the Israelites not to come near in the old covenant, for they would be killed. The essence of God’s nature of holiness would destroy the rebellion in the heart of man. God defined boundaries very well.
If we trespass divine boundaries, we are vulnerable to chaos and eventual destruction. You and I need to identify such healthy boundaries and harness them instead of mowing on them with a lack of wisdom and an oppressive culture that redefines everything socially instead of spiritually.
Few boundaries to behold: Between you and God, allow no one to take His place; between you and yourself, allow no one to tamper your well-being; between you and your family, allow no one violate God’s system of priorities; and, between you and your work-life, dont mix two different worlds – family and work.
